PTS - Project Tracking System dev.branch daa
-------------------------------------------------------------------
PTS is a system that allows you to track projects and tasks within a
workgroup. It uses a web server and a back end database system for all
transactions. The only client software required to access all functions
within the system is a forms and table capable browser.

PTS is originally written using PHP/FI, a server-side
HTML parsing system that generates HTML code on the fly from simple enhanced
HTML files. More information on PHP/FI can be found at www.vex.net/php
PTS 1.71.30 was ported to PHP3 by daa GmbH Systemhaus fuer
Client/Server-Technologie, www.daa.de. The new branch was called PTS/daa
to distinguish it from Dave's main development line.
More information about PHP3 can be found at www.php.net.

As of June, 1997, PTS can use either David Hughes' Mini-SQL database engine,
or MySQL, a more advanced server available at www.tcx.se.

There is a mailing list for users and administrators of the system.
Send mail to 'majordomo@homeport.org', and within the body of the
message, put 'subscribe pts-users'.
